DT design studio is seeking a full-time Landscape Architect / Project Manager for our Memphis, Tennessee office. This role is a critical part of our project work and studio culture, contributing thoughtful design solutions and translating them into deliverables. We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, adaptive, proactive, attentive to details, and comfortable presenting and communicating ideas.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead projects and provide support across all aspects of a project including programming, master planning, conceptual development, site design, cost estimating, public engagement, construction documents, and construction administration.

• Produce construction documents, including planting plans, grading plans, and detailed specifications, with accuracy and constructability in mind.

• Develop compelling graphics and presentation materials (plans, renderings, diagrams, etc.) that communicate design intent to a range of audiences as required by each project.

• Communicate and work directly with team members, clients, municipal officials, contractors, and other design professionals.

• Represent the firm at client presentations, public agency meetings, community engagement sessions, and site visits.

• Stay on top of software skills and office standards to elevate our team’s efficiency, organization, and quality of work.

WHO YOU ARE

Required background and skills:

• Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program (Architecture or Planning degrees are not a substitute for this requirement)

• 5+ years of professional experience, including experience working in a consulting firm

• Experience preparing full sets of construction documents

• Project management experience, including experience directly communicating with clients, collaborators, contractors, etc. outside the office

• Licensed Landscape Architect or planning to become licensed

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office

• Demonstrated design thinking and technical depth

• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills

Bonus skills:

• Development planning and zoning entitlement experience

• Regional plant and materials knowledge

• Proficiency in LandF/X, SketchUp, or Twinmotion
