CLIENT - Solana Senior Living 

DESCRIPTION - Brookdale Senior Living (formerly known as Solana) is a senior community that provides independent living, assisted living, and memory care options. Working with the project developer, Dalhoff Thomas design|studio led the site design portion of the project, creating a series of outdoor amenity spaces to provide recreational options for residents. A pond and waterfall feature greet visitors as they enter the site. The large central courtyard provides bocce ball, a putting green, garden plots, outdoor seating spaces, a large lawn, a performance plaza, as well as extensive landscaping. A smaller courtyard adjacent to the dining area serves mainly as a viewing garden, and utilizes gravel paths and colored glass. The memory care wing includes a private garden, designed with a guided walking path and multiple seating areas.
