AWARDS - 2020 TNASLA Merit Award - General Design

DESCRIPTION - DT Design worked alongside Ballet Memphis in their highly anticipated relocation to Midtown, creating a simple yet impactful design, tastefully accentuating the modern exterior of the new rehearsal and performance venue. Large windows invite passersby to peek into rehearsals while small courtyards extend from the Madison Avenue streetscape, further reinforcing the transparency between the public and private realm. Native grasses and hardy trees were selected to keep maintenance requirements at a minimum by taking advantage of their drought tolerant characteristics.
